I'm Caitlin.

My body of work combines typography, imagery and color
within graphic design to investigate various means of visual communication. Within my design work, I prioritize the belief
that human touch in art is essential. I don’t believe in the use
of AI, because I believe art and design belongs to humanity.

 

I mainly create publications and posters, utilizing the classic form of print. I appreciate print media because there is something so beautiful and refreshing about holding works physically in your hands. It furthers that feeling of humanity within art. I also enjoy creating identity and branding work.
I feel this, too, emphasizes human creativity in the world.
I enjoy elevating brands with sophisticated design to display
to the world their innovations.

A piece of work I am most proud of recently is an artist book I made displaying the work of designer Jessica Walsh. In this publication, I use bold color and playful typography to
create a cohesive piece that I felt truly embodies her work.
The challenge of fitting in the required amount of information into the publication, while also making it visually compelling,
is what I love most about being a graphic designer. Currently,
I am working on various publication projects to further my exploration of type and image within graphic design print media.
